Makarov - never look down on it. this pistol is very good and viable even for top-tier loadouts as an utility gun. It has all that the utility pistol needs - kills zombies, kills wolfes and domesticated animals. Has very decent mag cap of 12. And the best feature - it takes 2x2 slots. The 74 is just the wrong choice. It does less health and shock damage than the others with the handling stats being identical. Positives being it can have a 45 round mag. Food is really secondary. find a melee and learn to sneak. kill zombies with it when you have to. guns only attract more zombies. gear up by moving off the coast.
