In the current version of the game (build 41) it is not possible to survive a bite injury sustained from an infected in the game. if your character has already been bitten in the game then they will eventually contract the Knox virus and perish.The zombie infection is different to a wound infection. It won't say you're infected on the health panel but after a few days you'll get queesy and then you'll get hungry and eventually your health will just start to go down until you die.
