The tungsten slides forward in the carrier as it slams forward, and acts as a secondary carrier seater for positive primer strikes. On full-auto bolt carriers, there is a ramp on the bottom of the right side that pushes the trip lever to release the catch. On semi-auto carriers, like UncleBilly said - that ramp is milled off so even if a trip lever is present, there's nothing to release it. The MKE trigger pack contains a full auto sear, but the full auto notch is ground off the hammer and the trip lever is in there but has its arm chopped off. So you are going to need a full auto MP5 hammer and a sear trip lever. There is also a block brazed inside the pack that won’t let the selector rotate to ‘F’ that you will have to remove.

A F/A carrier is just that and will not make a 9X fire full auto. Converting a carrier to fit a semi to facilitate full auto could be a "conversion device".
