The P2227 code could have caused all these issues. ECM gets really mad when you loose the pre-throttlebody pressure sensor. Essentially goes into failsafe mode, P0299 is triggered at idle if im not mistaken when the p2227, sensor not present... (out of range) Sounds like your setup is running fine.
